Slide notes:In discussions of medical ethics, the term justice is often used as a synonym for fairness. The concept of justice includes the idea that all people have the right to be treated equally. Distributive justice is the idea that if resources are scarce, they will be allocated in a fair manner. How distributive justice should be implemented is controversial in our society, and its discussed in more detail in a later lecture. 9
