Some people are eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare, or for both Medicaid and CHIP. Fraud and abuse represents a challenge in these large government programs and attempts are being made to manage this through education and legislation. Finally, workers compensation is a federally mandated program provided in each state that protects workers and their families when on-the-job injuries occur. 31
