Slide notes:Group homes, often called board and care homes, are group living arrangements for people who need help with activities of daily living and are not able to live alone, but do not need nursing care. The residents of a group home may have physical disabilities, mental or developmental problems, mental illness, cognitive impairment, or substance abuse. It is important to note that not all residents are elderly. 12
