Slide notes:This concludes lecture d of Introduction to and History of Modern Health Care in the U.S. In summary, there have been significant advancements in the delivery of medical care, from advances in imaging, diagnosis, and surgical procedures, to Electronic Health Records, Personal Health Records, and the use of technology to better inform both practitioners and patients. While there are advantages and disadvantages to technology in health care, there are many positive effects, the most significant being increased patient safety, whether it be through integrated electronic patient records, more accurate drug prescriptions, or more accessible health information and education for patients. 17
